Initiated in 2010, Musicology Today is the first music magazine in Romania which, in a firm effort to integrate Romanian musicology in the international context, publishes all the material in foreign languages (English, German and French). The editorial team proposes a different topic for each issue, then gathering, from Romanian and foreign specialists, studies, essays and articles that address at a high academic level, current issues related to historiography, analysis and musical aesthetics, as well as ethnomusicology and Byzantine musicology. Thus, the main goal of the journal is to reflect the effervescence of today’s music world, but also to provide Romanian music researchers (composers, musicologists, performers) with an open work platform, integrated in the context of internationally indexed journals (EBSCO, RILM, and ERIH PLUS).
